Dan Piech is a pioneering photographic artist, engineer, designer, and entrepreneur. He leads a team of like-minded technology innovators producing the highest-resolution fine art photographs ever created.

Piech's passion for photographic artwork began while experimenting in the darkroom as a child, and his desire to push the technological envelope subsequently led him to begin exploring novel uses of digital imaging technologies. After years of research, development, and engineering, Piech has honed a unique set of techniques for generating exceptionally high quality images with distinctive aesthetic qualities. In 2017, Piech built and launched VAST, an artist collective devoted to advancing the art and craftsmanship of ultra high resolution image-making.

Prior to starting VAST, Piech founded a full-service creative studio specializing in photography, design, & web-development, was head of product management & partnerships for an internet data analytics company, and also led product management teams at large tech companies. Piech was awarded the National Rising Star Award by the Advertising Research Foundation for his work to model consumer habits on the internet and has degrees in economics, art, and public policy from Duke University.

A thought-leader in the industry, Piech has spoken at a variety of conferences and events, including MIT's Hacking Arts Festival, Social Media Week, OMMA Global, E-Business Week, and the NAB Show, among others. His innovative, award-winning artwork has been featured in major media outlets such as VICE Magazine, The New York Times, and Tribeca Citizen, and has appeared in galleries and on influential walls around the world, including Madison Square Garden, The MGM Macau, and the World Trade Center.
